Grinding

Of all the metalworking processes, grinding is probably the most application specific. No other process can reach the same levels of dimensional accuracy and fine surface finish. With our wide variety of equipment, Jerames Tool & Manufacturing can provide grinding for critical features easily holding tolerances within .0001. Our capabilities include ID, OD, and surface grinding as well has tool and cutter grinding to support our machining processes.

We manufacture complex parts, and assemblies using CNC milling, turning, and EDM equipment. Accuracy of ±0.0001 and position within ±0.0002 is routine for Jerames’ machinists who average 25 years in the trade. In addition to our CNC equipment Jerames has in-house grinding, and other ancillary equipment.

Because of our integrated capabilities, we can take your project from inception to completion; you will not need to locate additional sources for other operations when you use Jerames.

CNC Milling

With the addition of our new machining centers; Jerames has increased its 5 axis capabilities and capacities for you’re most challenging production demands. All of Jerames machining centers are equipped with 4 – 5 axis capabilities. These machines are capable of machining complex geometry quickly and efficiently in production volumes

CNC Turning

Four CNC turning centers with the ability to turn parts as large as 24” in diameter which provides the capacity for extended production runs.. Our CNC Turning Centers are equipped with a programmable tooling eye which allows us to compensate for tool wear during production runs so that the 100th part is the same as the first, without stopping production, delivering your order in a cost efficetive manner , per your schedule requirements.

EDM

For high precision EDM is often the best approach. With its ability to cut even the hardest conductive materials leaving a burr-free finish many times EDM is the least costly technique as well. And, when a heat treated part requires a precise hole location, often EDM is the solution. Our newest unit enables us to machine massive workpieces, 23” x 15 x 8”, weighing up to 900 lbs. The linear motor technology provides instantaneous servo time, which maximizes cutting efficiency. Since there are no ball screws or couplings, backlash is totally eliminated. This provides several advantages, including improved positioning and cutting accuracy, while providing smooth and vibration free table movement. We are able to import solid model files directly into the control. This maximizes the cutting efficiency, reduces the workflow and minimizes programming errors.
